The New Online Game Payment Method äußern. Originaltext: [mehr=Want to visit Flagship Studios? Write a quest!] Would you like a chance to visit Flagship Studios? "Hell yeah!" Well, all you have to do is be creative! The Hellgate: London community has come together and is now giving you a chance to travel to Flagship Studios free of charge. You'll stay for three days and two nights in beautiful San Francisco, CA. There you'll meet the FSS staff, play Hellgate: London, and get to know other community members. Here's how it works... You write a plausible Hellgate: London quest based off a template (see below). You then submit your quest to your local community administrator, streitmonolog@gmx.at . Then the most creative, original and appropriate quests will be bunched together and out of those will pop a winner. The winner gets to fly out to SF on May 14th and return home on May 16th. Gratis! There'll even be some posters dished out to folks who didn't make the cut. It's a tight turnaround, so make sure to get your entries in to streitmonolog@gmx.at by May 6th, 2007 at 11:59PM PST. Winners will be chosen and announced the following day, May 7, 2007. Also, please do not forget to include all of your pertinent details with your quest submission! We'll need to contact you if you're going to fly to Flagship, so count on providing your full name, age, email address, physical mailing address and phone number. There are also some basic rules and restrictions, too. Check 'em out if you're interested: [LINK] As for the quest... Well, the quest format is pretty simple. It's what FSS calls a "template quest" or side quest. It's composed of three primary parts: Description, Quest Incomplete, Quest Complete. It's up to you to write each part. Keep in mind that the total of all three parts cannot exceed 200 words. These quests are designed to be short and sweet, not long and tiresome. Also...you have no context. That's right! No context. There're no NPC names. There's no station. There's no back story. The quest text itself has to be interesting on its own. Here's a poor example of a template quest (yours should be much better!): """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Description: I'm in trouble. [PAGEBREAK] Listen. [PLAYER NAME]. I was topside. There was shooting. It went...hazy. Somehow I fell off mission. [PAGEBREAK] Next thing I know... BAM! I'm naked in a pit of something that felt and smelt suspiciously like shark chum. I swear these blasted Demons are foolin' with me -- abducting me at their leisure and doing positively wicked things. [PAGEBREAK] Worst part was, I didn't even have my bleedin' [OBJECTIVE COUNT] [QUEST COLLECT OBJS] on me! [PAGEBREAK] I need those for the mission, mate. I'm pretty sure I left 'em somewhere in or around [QUEST LEVEL]. It's all got to be there or else... I don't want to think about the "or else." [PAGEBREAK] Look, if you can bring my [OBJECTIVE COUNT] [QUEST COLLECT OBJS] back, I'll make sure you move up a notch on the big Hunter ladder of progress. Deal? Incomplete: I really need you to get those [OBJECTIVE COUNT] [QUEST COLLECT OBJS], [PLAYER CLASS]. I feel naked without 'em... And not in any kind of sexy way. Complete: Brilliant! You just made a poor sod's day and got a promotion in the process. Not bad, yeah? But tell me... Do you know how to get rid of shark chum smell? """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Notice the tags... [PLAYER NAME] = A tag Flagship uses to address a player. [PAGEBREAK] = This tag provides Flagship a way to separate dialog block pages. Content between page breaks are all that will show up in a dialog window at any given time. [OBJECTIVE COUNT] = Since Hellgate: London is randomized, Flagship uses this tag to denote how many of one thing a player must collect. [QUEST COLLECT OBJS] = Since Hellgate: London is randomized, Flagship uses this tag to denote what a player must collect. [QUEST LEVEL] = Since Hellgate is randomized, Flagship uses this tag to denote where a player must go. Now get those quests over to streitmonolog@gmx.at! Good luck!
