GU: And one question about another topic: During your first few weeks at the Flagship Studios you put up a poll at the unofficial Flagship Forums. There you asked what kind of movie about Hellgate we would like to see the most: Something like an anime, a movie with real actors oder something made with rendered 3D-Computer-Animations. That started quite some rumors and discussions about the possibility of a Hellgate: London movie. That was the first part of my question, and the other part is concerning the cinematic sequences of the game: How many of them will there be and will there be cut-scenes during gameplay?

I.S.: Yeah. For the first question, I don't remember asking that, but to answer it: Flagship doesn't specifically develop Movies. We just make Hellgate for PC. However, if someone would like to make a movie, we surely would support it. That is as much as i know about it. Concerning the cinematics in the game: The current plan is that we will have one cinematic for the opening part while the end part of the game is still up for discussion. Inbetween we have a lot of narrative sequences but there are neither ingame cut-scenes nor computer generated movies injected into the middle of the game. So alltogether there should be a big beginning, an ending to be discussed and narrative titles in the middle.
Again: If someone wants to make a Hellgate movie, I'll make a fine lead for 20 Million dollars. I need a trailer filled with skullet potatoes, pulled by 37 scantily clad women, kinda like roman style slaves. The trailer doesn't even need to have wheels. It's fine, they could carry the trailer if they are strong enough. So, i'll do it for you, no problem at all!

GU: That sounds really great!
To be honest, i really want to know what is going to happen with Jessica. There are lots of rumors and many believe she might be the key for closing the Hellgate or some other stuff. But they all agree she's gonna play an important role. So, what about it?

I.S.: Yeah, that's something we joke about. When they were making the 2006 cut-scenes, Pat, Lee and me - who all sit in the same area - were privileged to preview all auf the sound effects and we heard the same dialog over and and over again, like a million times. I am sure Saunder heard it a hundred million times but we had to hear it a million times, every single day. So i think we started making fun of her just out of instinct, because we had to hear it so often. In the final game however Jessica will be Jessica Summerisle and she will play a critical part in the story. She is related to another Summerisle who does something and a cousin who does something but there... there's a lot going on with that family at the end of the game. We talk about it a lot. But anyways, she does play a somehow significant role in the story, but she is not a catalyst character, not a climax character. She is kinda like a large supporting role character. There are other characters - which will be introduced closer to beta - that will play a huge, significant role. But you just haven't seen them yet and they are not in the cut-scenes you've seen.

GU: In the second cintematic we've seen some kind of soldiers. Those guys with the machine guns, trying to shoot down the demons. I don't suppose this is the third class, but we guess this cinematic takes place in a time much earlier than the actual game?

I.S.:The second trailer is a prequel to the actual game, like a kind of Ground Zero I suppose. The actual game takes place about 20 years after these events and that second trailer together with two other trailers will make the three parts of the big opening cinematic. So basically these other two parts will elaborate on what's going on in the second trailer.

GU:Okay. Thanks a lot for answering our questions. I hope we'll meet again and let me tell you we are really exited about the beta! Greets to Bill and the whole team, and thanks for a real awesome game. Thanks a lot!

T.G.: Auf Wiedersehen!
